Joyful Hearts Organization program use HTC as an entry point and ensuring that every individual that test positive for HIV is enrolled for
treatment, care and support. A community outreach CD4 machine was purchased so that the there is a prompt service provision and earlier
enrolment to treatment for the clients that have tested positive for HIV
The services we provide are:
· Enhancing access to HIV/AIDS & TB services: Through partnership with Malindza clinic and Good shepherd hospital, Joyful hearts
decentralized services for easy access to HIV/AIDS & TB treatment, awareness messages, TB screening and HTC services.
· Provision of psychological support through counselling and support group for people on HIV/AIDS & TB treatment.
· Community based care services: community HIV counselling and testing and home based care in Malindza community. Women
cooperatives at Mbekelweni in Manzini region.
· ART treatment as prevention: providing a holistic service by using HTC as an entry point, and making sure that all those who test
positive for HIV have access and adhere to treatment as a form of reducing new infections as well as decreasing the mortality rate due to
AIDS related deaths.
The organization runs a centre that provides social and health related services to the population of Swaziland at Malindza Refugees/Asylum
seekers Reception Centre (TB/HIV Collaborative Centre) that is being supported by PEPFAR/USAID through Pact/CANGO. In addition, the
organization is supporting orphans and vulnerable children, HIV/AIDS& TB patients in Malindza, Moneni and Mbekelweni.
The organization is a member of the National Stop TB Partnership; it collaborates with NERCHA and MOH, and other NGOs in the HIV/ TB
